Hertha must get Chelsea talent

According to a media report, Bundesliga football club Hertha BSC is facing the commitment of Dutch talent Daishawn Redan of Chelsea FC. The 18-year-old striker should sign a long-term contract with the Berliners in the coming days, the “Kicker” wrote on his website on Wednesday. The club had reached an agreement with the player on a change, and talks with the Premier League club were on the home straight.

Redan has not yet been used in Chelsea’s professional team, and Hertha’s team will initially be led by the junior team. He moved from Ajax Amsterdam to London two years ago. In the Dutch U19, Redan has scored nine goals in nine games so far. After centre-back Karim Rekik and outsider Javairo Dilrosun, he would be the third Dutch player in the Hertha squad. (dpa)
