This jaunt will be expensive: Officials caught a 30-year-old who was travelling in the southwest of Berlin at a speed that was clearly too high.

A patrol of the motorway police stopped a motorcyclist in Nikolassee on Sunday morning who was driving much too fast. Around 8.15 a.m. a Kawasaki on the A115 roared past the officers in the direction of Spanish Alley, who then took up the pursuit.

A speed measurement showed that the man was travelling at 170 kilometres per hour – but only 100 km/h is allowed in this area. The patrol stopped the 30-year-old driver at the Spanish Avenue motorway exit. He must now expect a fine of at least 480 euros, two points in Flensburg and a three-month driving ban. Tsp
