Fire in residential building – one person found dead


On Saturday afternoon, the Berlin fire brigade was called to Hedwigstraße. 32 firefighters arrived and had to rescue a dead person.

There was a fire in a house in Spandau early Saturday afternoon. A dead person was found. Around 14:19, the Berlin fire brigade was called to Hedwigstraße. On the ground floor of a five-storey new building there were furnishings in flames. 32 emergency forces extinguished the fire in about five minutes, according to a spokesman for the fire brigade. The firefighters found a dead person in the apartment. The other tenants remained unharmed. (Tsp)
